The University Competence Center for Collaboration Technologies (UCT.de) enables students and researchers to use modern collaboration technologies, such as IBM Connections 6.0 and IBM Domino 10, for the implementation and evaluation of innovative concepts for the Digital Workplace. In recent years, various XPages and Notes applications have been developed with IBM Domino for the UCT’s IBM Connections platform UniConnect. UniConnect is hosted on-premise by the UCT itself and is used by more than 35 academic institutions to support their research and teaching projects.

In this session, we will present some of the latest applications that have been developed and deployed on UniConnect: (1) The IRESS Visualizer shows how to use Connections’ transactional data (database event logs) for the identification of use cases and collaboration scenarios in a community. (2) Based on the integration of Node-RED as a community application, the Wiki-Synchronizer demonstrates how to create situational applications on a low-code level for the automation of user tasks within Connections. (3) Furthermore, we will present the latest implementation on our concept for information integration, called SoNBO (Social Network of Business Objects). With that concept, Connections becomes the centre of the digital workplace by integrating information (Social Business Objects) from transactional systems using graph theory. The Knowledge Graph app makes that graph (with transactional information) visible.
