Domino Query Language was introduced in version 10 for domino-db, the node.js npm offering.  In 10.0.1, the (Notes)DominoQuery class was  introduced for Lotusscript and Java.  DQL provides a very powerful yet terse way to access Domino data without the need to know about design elements or details of its execution. In Domino 11 there will be more functionality, speed and ease-of-use.

This session will provide an introduction to DQL syntax and then dive into the some of the most important operational details. Also covered will be the role and structure of the the Design Catalog, best programming practices, performance considerations, design element usage, security concerns as well as planning for future functionality. The session will be most useful to seasoned Domino application developers and administrators, but even novices will gain valuable, hands-on knowledge.

In this development oriented session, we will present an overview of the possibilities of extending your Domino dev environment to use Node.js and modern front end frameworks like React. What is it that makes these new tools so appealing? What do they give me that I didn’t have before? We will show you how to get started and how to make it all work with your Notes client apps. Using a simple questionnaire demo app we will show you how you can teach that legacy Domino dinosaur some cool new tricks. You will leave with the demo app and the source code to be productive in Domino V10 right away.

V10 ( und V10.0.1 ) von Notes/ Domino /Designer eröffnet neue Möglichkeiten der Programmierung. Nicht nur Node.js und domino-db sind spannende neue Betätigungsfelder.
Auch im Bereich Lotusscript und Java gibt es Neuerungen. NotesDominoQuery, NotesHttpRequest und die Klassen NotesJsonNavigator, NotesJsonArray, NotesJsonElement und NotesJsonObject sind seit 10.0.1 verfügbar.

Die Session gibt einen detaillierten Einblick in die neuen Klassen, und erläutert an Beispielen die Funktionsweise.

Auch gehen wir auf die (leider) noch vorhandenen Fehler in den Klassen ein. ( Stand 02/2019 )
Es existieren bereits PMR/SPR und HCL wird die bekannten Fehler in einem Fixpack beheben. Selbstverständlich stellen wir auch bekannte Workarounds vor.

In diesem Vortrag zeigen ich wie man einfach und schnell mit dem IBM Watson Assistant einen digitalen Assistenten für eigene Anwendung bauen kann. Ich erkläre warum man sich damit beschäftigen solllte und führe an einem realen Beispiel vor wie so etwas funktioniert. Zum Schluss schauen wir uns dann an wie das vorgeführte Beispiel gebaut worden ist und wie man diese Chatbots an IBM Domino Anwendungen anbinden kann.

Mächtige Werkzeuge stellen uns IBM und HCL zur Verfügung – und da draußen gibt es noch viel, viel mehr… Sie stehen uns größtenteils kostenlos und frei zur Verfügung, um sie zu nutzen, zu kombinieren, um großartige Lösungen zu entwickeln und solche Ziele zu erreichen, an die vor einigen Jahren noch niemand auch nur gedacht hat.

Das Problem: Es gibt viele kleine Beispiele, die zeigen, wie man diese Werkzeuge einzeln nutzen kann; was aber fehlt, ist ein großes Beispiel, das alles zusammenführt und das gelungene Zusammenspiel der Komponenten demonstriert.

Erleben Sie live, wie ein Foto, das in einer App auf einem Smartphone aufgenommen wurde, durch Node-RED fließt, von IBM Watson Visual Recognition analysiert und kategorisiert wird, wieder zurück in Node-RED wird es mittels node-red-contrib-dominodb in einer Domino V10-Datenbank gespeichert, um dort schließlich einen Workflow zu starten.
